El Apartamento Gastro Bar – Inspired by the idea of a cozy apartment or loft space, this artsy restaurant offers homemade international cuisine as well as some real original Spanish classics. The interior is lovingly decorated with artwork and recycled materials (regular exhibitions are also shown here) and the outside terrace is often used to showcase music concerts or film screenings. A unique place that is definitely worthwhile visiting.

Dulce Dreams – This stylish boutique hostel and café offers fantastic homemade cakes (the carrot cake is for sure my favourite), muffins and croissants as well as gourmet baguettes and salads. The coffee is 100 % organic and the healthy breakfast toasts are not to be missed with delicious toppings such as ricotta cheese and honey or tomato and avocado. The modern and light café offers a very relaxing atmosphere and free wifi.

Café Con Libros – This artsy and quirky café-bar is situated on street level of the elegant 19th century townhouse lined Plaza de la Merced. There are many comfortable places to sit and enjoy the quiet environment (including an indoor or outdoor swing), delicious juices, sandwiches, and hot drinks. Plus, if you get tired of working on your computer, there are plenty of books you can pick up to read! There is also free wifi here. Their sandwiches are some of the best I have ever tasted!

Kipfer & lover – This comfortable and modern gastro bar (and comedy club) reinvents traditional cuisine and international dishes whilst maintaining its Mediterranean roots. In this unique changeable space you can enjoy themed nights, exhibitions – painting, illustration, photography, architecture, theatre, dance- and a truly fantastic atmosphere.
