New exclusive outlet to open in M?laga

More than 90 national and international brands will be sold with up to 70% discounts.

The new “outlet” is located at Plaza Mayor in M?laga, specifically in Guadalmar mall. This will be a shopping centre that bring the most exclusive national and international fashion and offer discounts of up to 70%, so shopaholics now have one more reason to visit the city!

The Plaza Mayor shopping centre offers a variety of top brands shops, restaurants, fast food outlets, cinemas, “Go Karts”, playground, among other attractions; so there will be enough to do to spend a whole day with the family.

The Designer Outlet offer items from past seasons, and will be promoted by the firm “McArthurGlen Designer Outlets”, well known in Europe for its twenty outlets already in operation. As they comment on their website (http://www.mcarthurglen.com/en/brands) over 800 luxury brands will be offered at this store. Among the best known mentioned are Prada, Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, Versace, Burberry, Diesel, Armani, Ferrari, Asics, Abercrombie & Fitch, All Saints, Alberta Ferretti, Pandora, Swarovski, Salvatore Ferragamo, Timberland, Benetton, Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, D & G, Desigual, Lacoste, among others. And products vary from clothing, jewellery and accessories through to cosmetic products. Shopping heaven for a lot of people!

I think El Corte Ingles, famed for selling designer brands – many of the above mentioned ? may be a little disappointed that similar products will soon be sold at the outlet at much cheaper prices!

The project has an estimated opening date of mid-2017, or sooner if you listen to its promoters. We know that in Spain it always takes a little longer than planned, so we’ll see.

This project will cost about 115 million euros and estimates the creation of around 1000 jobs. The views of McArthur Glen outlet is it will target customers with medium-high purchasing power and expects most of its clientele will be tourists from both Malaga, Marbella and surrounding areas. The designs presented by promoters show it as a recreation of a small Spanish town in the “Andalusian style” with outdoor spaces, where people can feel that they are in a small shopping centre.

M?laga has a large supply of commercial space for shopping (Shopping in Malaga blog) and this new proposal will make it even more attractive to visitors.
