Malaga tourism breaks records this summer

The growing fame of the Costa del Sol

Malaga has summer defined by perfect temperatures and an increase in tourists visiting from Spain and worldwide. Each year, more visitors fall in love with Malaga city, and are returning year after year to continue enjoying the city and its weather.

To cover the high demand for tourism, visitors are opting for holiday apartments as a more economical and practical option. According to figures from Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, in July alone, 126,613 passengers and 772,411 overnight stays were registered in the province of Malaga in non-hotel establishments. Within the total visitors, 76.9% of overnight stays were foreign tourists.

Brits love Malaga

The British, have been for several years, and probably will remain to be the main foreign tourists visiting Malaga. Despite the recent Brexit, visitors from the UK have remained true to our lands. The huge gastronomic offer, kilometers and kilometers of beaches, rich culture and extensive nightlife for all tastes, are some of the reasons that promote the visit to Malaga.

Affordable Prices on Flights to Malaga

Airlines have increased their flights to Malaga, helping the popularity of this tourist destination. According to the Office of Tourism of Costa del Sol, there has been a growth of 28 percent reservations on flights, and most of them have an average occupancy of 95%. This high demand has helped plane tickets to be offered at very reasonable prices. For example, we have found flights from London to Malaga in November for only 68 pounds (about 80 euros) on the popular website Skyscanner. The airline Ryanair meanwhile, leads the largest number of flights to Malaga, followed by Easyjet, offering both companies the most competitive prices.
