Exquisite food with stunning views
Batik restaurant can be found in the historic city centre on Calle Alcazabilla on the fourth floor of this centrally located boutique hostel. The restaurant headed by prestigious Chef Ivan Bravo has been tastefully decorated incorporating a very cool and contemporary yet cosy style. The menu offers an array of Spanish style dishes from Malaga with a uniquely modern and refreshing twist at very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend the tuna tataki with sesame seeds and ginger or the braised octopus with pumkin, pak choi and green mojo sauce; absolutely delicious! For the wine lovers; the wine list has an excellent selection of speciality wines to compliment the cuisine on offer. Check out the menu and wine list.
After dinner I advise you head up to the fifth floor to enjoy a cocktail. The rooftop bar boasts some of the most stunning views of the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castles in Malaga. This bar has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere mixed with a truly contemporary and cosmopolitan vibe. This is where you can chill out on the comfortable and stylish sofas and really embrace that summer holiday feeling.
This epic building also hosts a hostel that offers rooms for up to 10 people as well as female-friendly rooms for women who like a little more privacy. All of the rooms face onto Calle Acazabilla enabling them to have a lot of light as well as being spacious and modern. You will also find a cosy lounge area and entertainment room. If you want to taste the culinary delights of Batik restaurant I advise you pre-book a table beforehand. Telephone: 952 221 045 Opening hours: 12:30 – 16:00 / 20:00 – 00:00
